About Moore Street Market :

One of Dublin’s oldest marketplaces, this historical street has housed traders since the 18th Century. Moore Street lives and breathes the story of Dublin through the traders and stalls that have long lived on its cobbled streets. These bricks and buildings have housed members of the Irish Volunteers during battle at the 1916 Easter Rising, with their history written just around the corner in the GPO.

From fruit and veg to more multicultural produce, the merchant culture of Moore Street is woven into the fabric of the city, home to generations of traders and welcoming many more to come. This street now reflects the diversity of Dublin City, offering a variety of international foods and produce, and the sing-song of the fruit and veg traders luring in customers still rings loud and proud.

Who we are :

The newcomers on the block, we feel passionately about Moore Street’s rich history. This street and its beloved traders are steeped in history that is very close to our hearts and so our goal is to help establish this great market and share it with the world. Providing food, crafts, music & live entertainment weekly is our speciality as we trade alongside Moore Street’s traditional fruit and veg traders. Where else in Dublin can you buy strawberries and buzz along to local musicians on one of Dublin’s most historic living streets?

Moore Street traditional traders provide fruit and veg produce 6 days a week, while our special line up of events hits the streets every weekend. We are always on the look out for new traders, artists and performers to help make each of these events something special. Nothing is too big or bright for The Moore Street Markets! Our goal is to celebrate the creativity, diversity and history of Dublin city, where Moore Street rests firmly at it’s heart. Why not bop on down and be a part of it all?
